History Repeating: Mankind’s Fall of Pride November 14, 2007

I found this while reading about Nimrod (from the writings of Josephus) on the Wikipedia post.

“Now it was Nimrod who excited them to such an affront and contempt of God. He was the grandson of Ham, the son of Noah, a bold man, and of great strength of hand. He persuaded them not to ascribe it to God, as if it were through his means they were happy, but to believe that it was their own courage which procured that happiness. He also gradually changed the government into tyranny, seeing no other way of turning men from the fear of God, but to bring them into a constant dependence on his power…Now the multitude were very ready to follow the determination of Nimrod, and to esteem it a piece of cowardice to submit to God; and they built a tower, neither sparing any pains, nor being in any degree negligent about the work: and, by reason of the multitude of hands employed in it, it grew very high, sooner than any one could expect; but the thickness of it was so great, and it was so strongly built, that thereby its great height seemed, upon the view, to be less than it really was. It was built of burnt brick, cemented together with mortar, made of bitumen, that it might not be liable to admit water. When God saw that they acted so madly, he did not resolve to destroy them utterly, since they were not grown wiser by the destruction of the former sinners; but he caused a tumult among them, by producing in them diverse languages, and causing that, through the multitude of those languages, they should not be able to understand one another. The place wherein they built the tower is now called Babylon, because of the confusion of that language which they readily understood before; for the Hebrews mean by the word Babel, confusion…”

As I read it, I kept thinking of the humanist world we live in today. It seems true today as well that mankind is elevated in the minds of prideful men beyond where it should. The method to get us here has worked over long periods of time and through many influential people, but the end result is the same and pride comes before the fall. Mankind is turning from God and will continue to do so until God’s wrath is revealed from heaven. Even then they will blaspheme and hate Him rather than repent of their wickedness. Even the way the world views Christians as weak-minded for clinging to our belief seems to parallel.

The New World Order is attempting to bring about the same kind of reliance of the people upon government while using the education system and media to remove God from the consciousness of the people. The more this happens, the further the world gets from God. Out of sight, out of mind. As Christians, we know what the Bible says regarding the end result of this global governance being formed as you read this. One man will cave to the offer of power that Yeshua resisted in His temptations in the wilderness. Lucifer offered Yeshua the world and was rebuked. He will make that offer to the man of sin and for 3 1/2 years the holy people will be given into his hands to destroy them, the great tribulation. During this time, those without faith in the promise of life everlasting by accepting Christ’s sacrifice for sins will be faced with a choice of joining the antichrist or death. Those who choose life here and now will lose it eternally.

I just thought it was interesting and wanted to share. Don’t fall for the lie of human superiority. We are a fallen race of people who require the shed blood of the Word made flesh to enter the kingdom of heaven. We fight against principalities and powers, spiritual darkness in high places. So don’t be fooled by these immensely superior spirits who have thousands of years of experience in deceiving naive people. We have at most 120 years of experience and that is unheard of today, we are no match without the Word of God on our lips. Yeshua rebuked the temptation with the Word of God, so let us study His Word more so that we are not left defenseless against our superior enemy that lies and tricks with flattery and pride.

Shalom Alecheim,

If we were half as smart as the generation before perhaps we would be wiser than less?

I know A.W. Tozer once wrote the greatest failure we have had in the 2o th Century as Christians is thinking we have become wiser when in fact we have become less knowledgeable of the scriptures than ever before.

Oh we presume much by assuming our Church cloak of evangelisms, missions, and American Western Version of looking at the World and saying see what we have done.

But I wonder if we who should know better are not little Nimrods in disguise. Nimrods mother was an interesting case study who helped to formulate her son into a anti-type of Messiah. She claimed eventually that he was immaculately conceived according to some studies.

Do we see our own pride in this also? Is our Church telling us to be all we can be? Is our Country giving us the tools to make us into better and more prosperous righteous people? Do we say to ourselves deep down inside if we make more and give more and do more God can get more done?

Welcome to Nimrod 101. You have just entered the Class of man kinds ultimate delusions. We assume we are the head of the class and are wise enough, smart enough and full of the Spirit enough to Make God have a revival or salvation according to our wish list.

I don’t see it. While alot people may get saved and alot of people might get salvation in a Tribulation period and maybe a few might get Raptured before all hell breaks loose for about three and half years. Subdivide the numbers and get your calculator out.

Pretend One one out of Seven Churchs actually fit the module of Revelation 1,2,3, and we agree it goes in Rapture. Oh don’t got Historic and Futuristic and Ages Interpretation without agreeing if it can be all those it can still be all three and fulfill what I am saying, without contradicting any of them.

So we have 1/7 of the Church’s getting a free pass out of here, errrr then put the ten virgins story in and you get 1/2 of 1/7 which is begining to get a little slim…., if we even included just for grins the idea if even two shall be together and one taken one left we COULD slim that down again by half.

NO no no. We can’t go and get that number too low, Jesus nsaid ahhh Many are called……few chosen.

So where are we in relationship to Babeling and Nimrod?

Look What they’ve done to my song mom, was a popular song once and now it’s a Christian version for the Tower records of Christian appeal. After all WE HAVE TO HAVE A COUNTER CULTURE AND POLITICAL AGENDA…., Don’t we?

Modern Christianity is making the feel good and secure grace alot more than God in control of dispensing it and THAT is the lesson of Babel and Nimrod.

Nimrod never asked God to Make a Tower, he did it on his own and he brought a lot of people with him to build it. Sadly then as he built it he loked on it and thought and told himself what wonderful job he was doing even as We Christians do with our Nimrod Complexs….,

Hey!! You show me your Tower of Babel, I’ll confess and show you mine

The dividing line between staying or going depends upon obedience to God’s Word. The desire to conform to the image of Christ represented in the spiritual principles of Love and the other fruits of the Spirit. This as opposed to the works of the flesh. Galatians 5

The majority of the world will choose the works of the flesh, some even believing in Christ and casting out demons in His name. Matthew 7:15-29 | Matthew 25:1-13

That’s where I see the dividing line and it centers on demonstrating a love for God and His ways living by faith in the spirit of love and showing those fruits.

Pride is a constant tool of the enemy and we must be properly armored to resist it. Ephesians 6:10-20

Very interesting indeed. I just wanted to add that it’s not just secular humanism that is attacking Christianity.

I recently found out that pastor John Hagee is apostate now and is denying Christ.
